The CISV Village provides children aged eleven to travel to an international destination for a period of twenty-eight days. A Village is comprised of twelve delegations of four delegates (two boys and two girls aged eleven) plus their trained adult leader from twelve countries in the world. A Village includes opportunities for the delegates to reside with families in the host city during two weekends, one upon arrival and another mid-way through the programme. The remainder of the time the delegates reside in a communal camp setting organised by a qualified staff and local support committee. Through the course of the month the delegates will be guided through a host of workshops and discussions that address a pertinent theme such as social justice, conflict resolution, peace, diversity, multiculturalism, and/or the environment. Delegates are also provided guided tours of local attractions to complete a dynamic and holistic cultural experience.

The Summer Camp expands on many aspects of the Village but provides delegates a larger place in group activities and discussions. Delegations are invited to take a greater part in organising activities around specific themes of social justice, conflict resolution, peace, diversity, multiculturalism, and/or environment. The programme also permits delegates to have a one weekend home stay and guided tours of local attractions to complete a dynamic and holistic cultural experience.
